Discourse Of is an editorial project in fashion, beauty and lifestyle, through the lens of cultural studies.

Each issue takes one thing —

a couture show, a lipstick, a cult cake — and treats it like a script: something with characters, values and quiet instructions about how a cool life could look. We pull out the codes, spot the cues and gently ask who’s been left off the guest list.

You’ll find critical discourse analysis (CDA) here, but never as homework. Instead, it appears as tiny guides and poems you can carry back to your own scrolling. It’s for people who care about style and would also like to understand the stories wrapped around it — and sometimes, gently change them.
